Day 01: Kozhikode Airport Pickup & Transfer to Wayanad:

Pick up from Kozhikode Airport proceed to Wayanad and check into the hotel. Evening visit Pookkot Lake. Overnight at Wayanad.

DAY 02: WAYANAD SIGHTSEEING

Today after breakfast go for local sightseeing of Wayanad. Primarily, start your sightseeing by visiting the world-famous Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. This is arguably one of the most prominent attractions in the state of Kerala. No Wayanad itinerary is complete without visiting this sanctuary. This sanctuary is blessed with lush green forests and scenic beauty. This wildlife sanctuary houses several exotic and rare species. You could see White-rumped vulture, Red-headed vulture, Malabar Whistling Thrush, Blue Bearded Bee-eater, and a lot more! Take a binocular to observe these animals and birds as the view is quite stunning. You can also explore the sanctuary through the elephant rides. The elephant rides are organized by the sanctuary itself. Secondly, you could visit the thundering Soochipara Falls. Also known as the Sentinel Rock waterfalls, this is a magnificent tourist attraction. If you are looking to relax amidst a thunderous waterfall and lush green forest, this is where you should be. Hence, ensure this is a part of your Wayanad itinerary. There is a pool at the bottom in which the tourists can take a bath. Also, not to forget the opportunity for you to have a mini-trek in this spot! Overnight stay in Wayanad.

Day 03: Wayanad to Athirapally transfer sightseeing:

Morning after breakfast proceed to explore the enchanting beauty of Athirapally. Witnessing the awe-inspiring Athirapally Waterfalls, often referred to as the Niagara of India. Immerse yourself in the mesmerizing cascade of water surrounded by lush greenery. Continue your exploration by visiting the nearby Vazhachal Waterfalls, offering a serene ambiance and breathtaking views. Complete your day by savoring the flavors of authentic Kerala cuisine at a local restaurant. Overnight at Athirapally.

Day 04: Athirapally to Munnar transfer sightseeing:

Morning after breakfast proceed to Munnar. During this scenic journey, youll be captivated by the lush landscapes and will have the opportunity to visit the mesmerizing Valara and Cheeyappara Waterfalls, adding an extra layer of beauty to your trip. Upon reaching Munnar, you’ll check in to your chosen hotel or resort, where you can unwind amidst the tranquil surroundings. The evening is yours to spend at your leisure, whether its exploring the vibrant local markets or simply relaxing at your cozy accommodation.

Day 05: Munnar Sightseeing: After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, you’ll set out to explore the charming attractions of Munnar. Your day’s itinerary includes a visit to the Mattupetty Dam and Lake, where you can enjoy boating and the stunning landscape. Echo Point offers a unique experience with its echo phenomenon. The day continues with a tour of lush tea gardens, providing insights into tea processing. After lunch you’ll head to Eravikulam National Park. As the day winds down, return to your comfortable Munnar accommodation for a tranquil evening.

Munnar: Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams – Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. 1600 Meter above sea level. This hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British government in South India. Sprawling Tea Plantation picture-book towns, winding lanes and holiday facility makes this a popular town. Local sightseeing of Munnar – visit Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo point. Afternoon proceed to Rajamalai were you can visit the rarest species known as “Nilgiri Tars”.

Day 06: Munnar to Thekkady Transfer & Sightseeing: Morning after breakfast embark on a scenic drive to Thekkady. The journey treats you to spectacular views of Kerala’s landscapes and typically spans around 4-5 hours. Upon reaching Thekkady, check in at your selected hotel or resort, and immerse yourself in the serene surroundings. In the late afternoon, I set off to explore the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, renowned for its boat safaris on Periyar Lake. Here, you can spot elephants, bison, and various bird species in their natural habitat. Enjoy dinner at your Thekkady accommodation and spend the night in this captivating destination.

Thekkady: Thekkady is one of the world’s most fascinating wild life reserves, the Periyar wild life sanctuary spread across 777 Sq. KM. of which 360 Sq. KM is thick ever green forest. The Periyar wild life sanctuary was declared as a Tiger Reserve in 1978 noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wild life and scenic beauty.

Day 07: Thekkady to Alleppey Transfer & Sightseeing:

Morning after breakfast proceed to Alleppey and by noon check in at the houseboat. A day and night houseboat cruise in Alleppey is a serene and unique experience. Glide through the tranquil backwaters of Kerala on a traditional houseboat, known as a kettuvallam. During the day, soak in the beauty of lush greenery and enjoy delicious Kerala cuisine. As the sun sets, witness a breathtaking sunset and spend a peaceful night under the moonlit sky. Disconnect from the chaos of daily life and immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature on this unforgettable journey. Overnight at Houseboat.

Alleppey: With the Arabian Sea in the west and a vast network of Lakes, Lagoons and freshwater rivers crisscrossing it, Alappuzha is a district immense natural beauty. Referred to as the Venice of east by travelers from across the world. This backwater country is home to diverse animal and bird life. By virtue of its proximity to the sea, the town has always enjoyed a unique place in the maritime history of Kerala. Today, Alappuzha is an important backwater destination attracting several thousand foreign tourists every year. Alappuzha is also famous for its boat races, beaches, marine products and coir industry. A singularity of this land is the region called “KUTTANAD” – a land of lush paddy fields referred to as the rice bowl of Kerala and one of the few places in the world where farming is done below sea level.

Day 08: Varkala Transfer & Stay:

After breakfast check out and transfer to Varkala. Varkala is a coastal town famous for its dramatic cliffs and pristine beaches. Check in to your chosen accommodation in Varkala, where you can hear the waves crashing against the cliffs. The afternoon and evening are yours to explore Varkalas unique beaches carved into the cliffs, swim in the Arabian Sea, and visit the Janardanaswamy Temple. Enjoy the relaxed ambiance and stunning ocean views before retiring to your accommodation.

DAY 09: Kovalam transfer & Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a day trip to Trivandrum, a short drive away from Kovalam. Here, youll visit the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, an architectural marvel dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and explore the Napier Museum and Art Gallery, which houses a captivating collection of historical artifacts and artworks. The Kanakakunnu Palace, with its serene gardens, is also worth a visit. Later in the afternoon, return to Kovalam, where you can relax and enjoy the beach before another delightful dinner.

Kovalam: Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favorite haunt of tourists, especially Europeans, since the 1930s.A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse-sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programs, Catamaran cruising etc. The tropical sun acts so fast that one can see the faint blush of coppery tan on the skin in a matter of minutes. Life on the beach begins late in the day and carries on well into the night.

Day 10: Trivandrum Airport drop:

Drive to Trivandrum, Sightseeing / Shopping if time permits & drop at Trivandrum Airport as per the flight time.
